Retief Muller's book, The Scots Afrikaners: Identity Politics and Intertwined Religious Cultures has won the Andrew Murray-Desmond Tutu book prize for the General Christian Publications In An Official Language Of South Africa.

We are delighted to share the news that one of our authors in our Scottish Studies list, Retief Muller, has been announced as the winner for the Andrew Murray-Desmond Tutu book prize for The Scots Afrikaners: Identity Politics and Intertwined Religious Cultures from the Scottish Religious Cultures series.
Muller's book won in the General Christian Publications In An Official Language Of South Africa category.
The judges were Rev. Charlotte Sibanyoni, Prof. Graham Duncan, and Prof. Hannes Knoetze. Here's what they had to say:
"Both the Scots and the Afrikaners are rooted in the Reformed faith and have a common theological heritage. The author explores this relationship using original sources. An excellent publication!"
