CAHSS Gold Open Access 2026
Seven books received funding from the CAHSS fund for gold open access publication in our last financial year.
Grace Balfour-Harle and Heather Ramsay have been named 2026 ALPSP Rising Stars

We’re delighted to announce that Grace Balfour-Harle and Heather Ramsay have been selected as winners of an ALPSP Rising Star Award 2026.
Grace has been recognised for achievements across both her core and additional responsibilities, including the project management of a significant volume of our books, work on our Lanstad pilot programme – particularly the consolidation of over 200 page designs into a menu of 20 templates – and consistently providing outstanding publishing experiences for our books authors and series editors (in the words of one, ‘by far the best publishing experience I have had in my career’).
Heather has been recognised for leading marketing for the Ancient History & Classical Studies list whilst supporting other high-volume lists, continuing to deliver excellent author care and high-quality campaigns. She has also made a significant impact through projects using Biblio such as developing an automated workflow for digital marketing flyers, improving efficiency and consistency across the Press.
Grace and Heather are attending the ALPSP Conference and Awards in Liverpool and will write a review of their experience for the ALPSP and EUP blog.
