This crest bears an illustration of a bald eagle with outspread wings and legs. In its right claws it holds a branch with green leaves and silver bells. In its left leg it holds a bouquet of 13 archery arrows. In its mouth is a ribbon reading 'E Pluribus Unum'. Across its chest is a shield with a blue band above white and red vertical stripes. At the top of the image is a white rosette with a blue centre holding 13 white stars. A blue ring with gold outlines surrounds the eagle, with white text reading 'National Endowment for the Humanities' in the ring.
