For authors
Receiving reader reports

Your editor has passed you the reports and it’s time to read them and see what they say. You may open the files with some trepidation, but remember that they are giving you the chance to make your book even better. Your editor will probably give you a heads-up about the general tone of the reports, and may highlight the key points that need a response.
Unless it’s a flat no from all readers, there’s every chance that, even if the reports are quite critical, there will be something to work with. Of course, you may receive two glowing recommendations with no requirements for revision, in which case, happy days!
