For authors
The final decision

Once your editor has all the details they need (which may include further reports from the external readers, or a report from a new reader) they should then be able to put your project forward to the decision-making committee they have in place. They will let you know the outcome as soon as possible after the meeting – this may lead to another round of revisions but it will hopefully be good news and a book contract!
Next steps for your book
Hopefully, the review process will end in a book contract. Either way, you’ll probably receive some feedback on your proposal. So either it’s time to choose another publisher and strengthen your proposal, or (once you’ve finished celebrating) get to work writing or revising your book. Whichever stage you’re at, we have a guide for you.
