New Journals Platform for Edinburgh University Press

We are pleased to announce the successful migration of our journals platform to Atypon’s UX 3.0 interface.

Better than ever user experience and enhanced accessibility

We are pleased to announce the successful migration of our journals platform to Atypon’s UX 3.0 interface. The new platform, which can be found at https://www.euppublishing.com/, brings a number of improvements to the user’s experience.

In addition to the updated layout, there have been significant improvements in site accessibility. It is now easier to find and engage with our content using screen readers and other accessibility software. Accessibility is an ongoing journey, and we will continually work towards making our journals accessible for everyone.

Further improvements include:

  • Easier than ever access to the newest available content for every journal, including free content
  • Intuitive browsing experience, improving user journeys across specific issues, citations and popular papers from each journal, as well as improved journeys across our resources such as Open Access guidance and information for librarians
  • Enhanced content alert forms, which allow every user to sign up for TOC alerts and subject newsletters from each journal homepage
  • Improved My Account area, where every user, including librarians, can access their subscriptions, content and account information

Sarah McDonald, Head of Publishing at Edinburgh University Press said, ‘We are delighted to announce the launch of our newly designed platform, with enhanced accessibility features and an improved user experience. With the needs of our reader, author and librarian communities at the forefront, we are committed to making our journal content more accessible and engaging for all users.’
