We’re delighted to announce that we have launched our first Early Career Researcher board with three ECRs appointed to the editorial board of International Research in Children’s Literature.

We’re delighted to announce that we have launched our first Early Career Researcher (ECR) board. These consist of up to 10 early career researchers, each paired with a mentor from a journal’s main Editorial Board. ECR Board members will gain valuable experience in peer review and journals publishing as a whole, as they are mentored by a senior member of the editorial board. ECRs can also expect to work closely with established researchers in the field, as well as liaising with board members across all career stages, therefore providing excellent networking opportunities. This is an exciting new concept for our editorial boards which we hope will not only provide great career progression opportunities for junior scholars, but also ease the peer review process for editors who are currently experiencing challenges with sourcing peer reviewers. Three ECRs have been appointed to the International Research in Children’s Literature editorial board and will begin working on the journal soon. More EUP journals are creating ECR boards – please look out for further information via EUP’s social channels in due course.
